Tiffany Hong

Executive Director

Tiffany was born and raised in San Francisco. She grew up in a Christian family, accepted Christ at a young age, but had a transformational experience at 13 that led her to deeply commit her entire life to Jesus.


Steve Spanos

Interim Operations Director

Steve was born in San Francisco and raised on the peninsula, first living in East Palo Alto and then Palo Alto. His neighborhood, like his circle of friends, was very diverse and impressed upon him the beauty and differences of different cultures.


Waniya Bryant

ACS Program Manager

Waniya grew up in East Palo Alto. She attended School of Wisdom and Knowledge College Preparatory Academy from Pre-K through Seventh Grade. When the school moved to Atlanta, Georgia, she attended Costano Elementary in Ravenswood City School District.


Priscilla Welsh

Mindful Kids Coordinator

Priscilla was born and raised in the Bay Area with her family of three brothers and two sisters. She graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University before getting her MA in Curriculum and Instruction at San Josè State University.


Jennifer Alexander

Operations Manager

Jennifer was born in East Palo Alto and raised between here and Chesterfield, VA. Throughout the years she lived in CA, she attended BCM year-round during elementary and middle school. During her time and participation in KidSmart, StreetWorkz and SAIL, Jennifer says she “was mentored by so many amazing people and created unforgettable memories and relationships.”


Amy Joh

Director of Partner Engagement

Amy has served BCM in a variety of capacities since moving to East Palo Alto in June of 2000. She directed StreetWorkz, BCM’s teen ministry, for five years and then served as BCM’s Director of Ministries.


Diana Liggs

KidSmart Program Manager

Diana Liggs was born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania; one of twelve children. She moved to Californiain 1973 and began her career in banking, which lasted 30 years until she retired.


Gene Lopez

Teen Spiritual Program Manager

Gene was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. His parents were born in Mexico and his family also includes two brothers, two sisters, four nephews and two nieces. His background includes coaching, teaching, mentoring, counseling and volunteer work with various churches and ministries.


Kim Shimazaki

Volunteer Manager

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Kim earned a B.A. in English from UCLA. After working in Japan for three years, she forged a career in technology and nonprofit sectors. Married and pregnant with her first child, Kim’s path led her to accepting Christ.


Chucky Mendoza

Program Support

Chucky, the father of four (almost 5) children, was born and raised in EPA. He brings his enjoyment of smiles, family and community to his work and is proud to be part of BCM.


Natessa Martinez

Director of Ministries

Natessa, a native of the San Jose Bay Area, joins BCM with 20 years of experience working with youth and families and a strong drive to help others seek holistic restoration and healing.


Leslie Tuakalau

Bible Club Program Manager

Leslie was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Maui. Her family is of Tongan decent. She comes from a family of 7 kids, with 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She moved to California in 1995 and has been here since.


Rosie Valencia

Robotics Coordinator

Rosie has been involved with BCM since age 9, participating in SAIL, StreetWorkz, LEAD and the ChicaSquad, among others. She is currently completing her final semester at UC Merced in a degree in Computer Science and Engineering.


Paige Burgess

Development Officer

Paige brings to her role as Development Officer at Bayshore Christian Ministries 15 years of experience in high-tech & biotech marketing & public relations plus 15 years working with students both as a homeschooling mom and in the non-profit sector.


Roberto Mendoza

Sr. Facilities Associate

Roberto Mendoza was born in Michoacán, Mexico, but was raised in East Palo Alto, where he has spent most of his life. At BCM, he serves by maintaining our facilities, translating, greeting everyone, and making sure the building is secure at the end of the day.
