Rosie has brought her education in the STEAM subjects and her relationship with the BCM community together in her current role as the Robotics Coordinator. Having been involved with BCM programs since the 4th grade, she first approached computer coding as a member of BCM's ChicaSquad while creating an app prototype. Rosie interned with the summer CREATE programming, helping in the robotics class. While getting a degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Rosie helped her sorority (Lambda Theta Nu INC.) host a Latina youth leadership conference, helping young girls pursue higher education. She also joined the Society of Women Engineers in hosting the Expanding Her Horizons conference to lead young girls in the direction of STEAM related fields.
