Bible Club Intern

Hours: Part-time 20-25 hours per week
Reports to: Director of Ministries
Supervises: Volunteers
Compensation: $14,400K annual salary; Free housing; Full benefits; 12 Vacation/Sick days per year

Summary:
The Bible Club Intern is responsible for all aspects of running Bible Club, Bayshore Christian Ministries’ elementary age spiritual program. This position is designed for anyone seeking experience in urban youth ministry. BCM will provide ongoing training and support for all interns.

Position Overview:

Oversee and manage Bible Club Program:
• Coordinate weekly Bible Clubs
• Coordinate weekly Friday Bible Club outreach
• Provide curriculum for all Bible Clubs
• Train, support and manage program volunteers
• Manage program registration, database, wait list and fees
• Coordinate outings, parent trainings, and other special events

Work in partnership with other BCM staff and community:
• Provide regular reports to fellow staff and supervisor on program, participants and special events
• Coordinate events and use of BCM resources with other program directors
• Be actively involved in networking with other relevant organizations in the community

Required:
• Experience working with elementary youth
• Desire to see youth come to Christ
• Deep commitment to the mission of the organization and agreement with the Statement of Faith
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point and email
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:
• College degree
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Experience working with urban/at-risk youth
