Bible Club Manager
Salary Range: $30,000 $33,000, with full medical benefits and 18 PPT (vacation/sick) days per year.
Reports to: Director of Ministries
Supervises: Volunteers and Evaluation System
Schedule: Full time exempt, includes some weekends and evenings
MISSION
Bayshore Christian Ministries equips East-of-Bayshore youth to grow spiritually, gain life skills
and develop as leaders so that they have hope and a future.
Summary:
The Bible Club Manager is directly responsible for Kids Clubs, Bible Clubs, Curriculum, and Evaluation Systems
across all Spiritual Programs. Other important function related to this position is the ability to be highly
relational for collaboration, partnering, and representation purposes for BCM. Managerial function of this position
will be to supervise volunteers and systems not employees. Objective: Targeted population is elementary students
1st 5th grades; targeted number of children to serve is 225 per year. Candidates seeking this position should
be well equipped in serving in an urban community with at-risk youth. Candidates should also be well rehearsed
in developing biblical curriculum, systematic procedures and processes. BCM will provide current/relative training
and support for this position.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees four specific functions: Kids Clubs, Bible Clubs, Curriculum,
Evaluation Systems
Manage Kids Clubs Program: (School Campuses Only)
Identify School for Kids Club. (partner w/existing Kids Clubs to get started)
Implement weekly Kids Clubs one day a week preferably Wednesday on Campus
Coordinate monthly meetings w/volunteers to ensure processes are operating efficiently and volunteers needs are met.
Provide curriculum through Kids Clubs already in existence (Director to provide info) and ensure its relativity to urban at-risk kids.
Train, support and manage program volunteers
Manage program registration, database, and wait list
Manage Bible Clubs: (In the Community)
Manage existing weekly Bible Clubs within the community
Tailor biblical lessons for urban at-risk-youth mentalities
Coordinate monthly meetings w/bible Club Leaders (CL), Assistant Leaders (AL), and volunteers to ensure processes are operating efficiently, training is up to par, and the needs of the team are being met
Coordinate monthly one on ones with CLs, ALs, and Volunteers
Ensure that all volunteers comply/adhere to all Volunteer Coordinator processes
Ensure cross training and quarterly rotation of volunteers to prevent burnout (apply where applicable)
Coordinate outings, parent trainings, and other special events between all bible clubs
Enhance participation of bible clubs through enriching reward systems
Implement outreach strategies for recirculation and recruiting of new students
Manage program registration, database, and wait list
Manage All Curriculums: (across all spiritual programs)
Develops all baseline curriculums for all of BCMs spiritual programs. Baseline curriculums are general outline lesson topic w/scriptures. Each program coordinator will be responsible for tailoring the lesson to fit their respective program
Manages curriculum to ensure lessons are streamlined and visible across all programs, and web accessible to volunteers, parents, pastors, etc.
Ensure curriculum is accessible and promoted a quarter in advance with the objective being to eventually promote one year of progression data.
Implement and Manage Evaluation Systems:
Implement systematic procedures to evaluate all spiritual programs via metric (system of measurement)
Create evaluation tools and processes to capture tangible and intangible data
Create and manage a database that tracks all student data, i.e. name, school, grade, teacher, parent, address, program, etc.
Ensure database is accessible to all program coordinators for updates, changes, etc as it relates to their respective programs
Ensure reporting procedures are maintained and filed in secure location i.e., incident reports, behavior conduct, neglect or abuse claims, etc.
Other Important Functions:
Provide regular reports to fellow staff and Director on programs, participants and special events once a month in staff meetings
Coordinate events and use of BCM resources with other program coordinators as it relates to the community of students we serve
Be actively involved in networking with other relevant organizations in the community for collaboration and partnering purposes
REQUIRED Qualifications
Agreement with statement of faith and commitment to the mission of BCM
3-5 years experience working directly with elementary youth (1st 6th grade levels)
3-5 years in developing biblical curriculum Old & New Testament
Efficient in communication/follow through, self starter, creative, and ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Apps, strong in organizing and multi-tasking
Valid drivers license (if hired, must be willing to upgrade to class B license for transporting students)
PREFERRED Qualifications
College degree in Communication, Education, or English majors
Bilingual (Spanish)
Experience working with urban/at-risk youth
